The rule set it implements

Standard 13-card Indian Rummy. A valid declaration needs at least two sequences with at least one of them pure — the requirement explained in detail on the pure sequence in Rummy.

Two decks with printed jokers, plus a wild joker turned up each round which makes every card of that rank wild.

What it is good for practising

The declaration. Most Rummy rounds are not lost on card selection, they are lost on declaring a hand that turns out to be invalid — usually because the pure sequence quietly contained a joker.

Playing alone removes the time pressure, which is exactly what you want while the four conditions of a valid declare are still something you have to check consciously. The how to declare in Rummy walks through all four.

Who it suits

Players who know roughly how Rummy works but are not yet confident about what counts as valid. If you have ever declared and been told the hand was wrong without fully understanding why, this is the gap it fills.
